From Glory To Glory - Enraptured

Updated: Aug 20, 2020

It was a cool Texas winter of 1994, an evil being entered my home through my bedroom door. I have seen this hideous type before in dreams. This was the first time it made a physical appearance in my room. It had the characteristics of a gargoyle, gray-green, fierce, like one from a Van Helsing movie that did not come out until 2004. The creature’s eyes glared at me, it breathed with anxious intent. The terror of that entity engrossed me; I felt paralyzed and could not move. All of a sudden, a quiet voice spoke clearly. I believed the word spoken to me. The evil being knew that I believed the word spoken. The fear left, gone, disappeared when I believed. I did not contemplate who spoke, because I knew. I have heard this voice before in times of trouble. It was different this time because I did not have time to ask questions. I had faith to believe. I dealt with a several types of torment from an early age until I became Christian.

Nightmares, day mares, and visitations from demonic forces were not constant, but they did frequent me. It was not until I gave my heart to Jesus, that the episodes were fewer and farther between. When I believed the Word of God, nothing could change my mind. I trust the LORD completely now. I was attending college, and at the age of 21, I prayed to invite Jesus into my heart on September 1, 1995. The first time I experienced the presence of Jesus, He came into that room where the entity paralyzed me with fear when Jesus spoke to me. Jesus said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

The voice of the Lord was like a loud thought, but not my thought. I knew that was not what I was thinking at the time, as I was thinking about how hideous and vulgar the entity looked. I will never forget how that day changed my life and the words, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” still rings true in my life today. The first time I experienced Holy Spirit was a day in my dorm after I accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord. I asked for every gift available if the Lord desired to give it to me. I began to speak in different languages. Yes, I speak English and a little Spanish, but this was different. Somehow, I understood what others were saying when they spoke in tongues even though I had never studied other languages. One day, a young Jewish man was seeking Jesus. He showed up to a prayer meeting I was involved in. I did not know what his prayer was. I began to pray and speak in tongues. The man asked, “What school did you go to?”

I was ignorant of his appeal to answer with a prestigious college or synagogue, I responded, “Freer High School.” He laughed. I was not too happy about that, but then he explained why his burst of joy. He acknowledged that I spoke perfect Hebrew and was answering his question to God. He became a believer. The first time I experience the Lord in a dream was on February 8, 1998 after a month of prayer and fasting. There was an immense feeling of peace, security, and love in a heavenly atmosphere. I was above the earth and clouds when Holy Spirit said, “Gloria, Jesus wants to speak to you.” I said, "Okay, lead the way." Holy Spirit led me to a very large door where Jesus was standing on the other side. There were no hinges on the door; it swung open and closed with a gentle breeze. There was a window on the 30-foot door where I could see Jesus.

As I stood before the door, Jesus called me. A strong voice, clear, thunderous, vibrating echoes that moved my heart, and He said, “Gloria, behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” I said, "Yes, Lord I do want you to come in." I was not aware of how to quote many scriptures, but later in that year, I found that scripture word for word. How could that be? My answer is still Yes, Lord, I do want you to come in.

The first time I had an opened vision; while I was fully aware of what was happening around me, was while I was staying with a friend of mine. As we were having a conversation, it was as though heaven came down between us. I was the only one who could see the activity. Before me were two huge wings that covered a large part of my view.

Through the wings, I could see a huge vertical wavy waterfall that had no beginning and no end on the right side. To the far left, a vertical wavy rainbow had no beginning and no end. Then darkness filled the center of the view. Three drops of something that looked like liquid gold or oil fell slowly from the sky but lingered in the atmosphere, as it did not touch the ground. Then what looked like an auditorium full of angels was set in the back of my view.

The vision seemed to last for hours, but

my friend who was talking to me knew that I was not paying attention because I was lost and fixed on what I was seeing. When I asked them if they saw the vision, they did not. I explained as best as I could with my own understanding. We looked up scripture together and found what seemed to be like a vision spoken by John the Revelator.

The Lord has given me many dreams and visions. He gave me a dream about the title and content for “From Glory To Glory” in 2000, and finally, the dreams, visions, poetry and thoughts are available for me to share.

This may not be theoretically correct due to different beliefs, but to the best of my human capabilities, I have captured what I could and can account for these testimonies to be true according to my own experiences. “From Glory To Glory” is a book series about the walk I have with God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Feel free to seek for understanding, revelation, and wonders that can bring you closer to the Lord. Ready yourselves for what you have never seen, heard, or known. Be amazed, give glory to God. Hate evil, Love the Lord. Turn from sin, fall into the arms of Jesus. If you have been a Christian for a while, do not grow weary in doing good. If you have never asked Jesus in your heart, give Him a chance to show you a life of true love, joy, and peace. It does not stop there. Let us come up higher “From Glory to Glory.”
